Maxhun Peka has been described as a career diplomat. Peka has a great experience in Albanian diplomacy. In 1980 he was appointed ambassador of our country in Vietnam, a position he held until 1983, when he was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Albania to one of the most powerful western countries, in France. He stayed in this post for several years. After the ’90s, Maxhun Peka took several other important positions in Albanian diplomacy. In 2005 he was appointed Secretary General of the Council of Ministers headed by Sali Berisha and in 2006 President Moisiu appointed him Ambassador of Albania to the People’s Republic of China, a position he held until 2011.
